When did you last write a letter to a friend or family? And by letter, we do not mean e-mail. It’s been ages since anyone of us actually sent out or received a handwritten letter, thanks to Blackberrys. And when we receive one, we’re delighted because we realize that someone actually took time out to pen down a few words for us, more so when those are words of appreciation, which is exactly what we felt when we received a letter from one of our guests, Mr. Martinez.
Here’s the short note he sent us when he received the Christmas Card we sent (read post, as in snail mail) him.
We’d like to thank Mr Martinez for his generosity, it was awfully nice of you! Made us feel special.
We also thought we'd post a picture that he sent us, he is a good photographer.

Hello Compass blog
ReplyDeleteAkanksha asked me to write something here so of course, would I refuse?
Not sure that I have anything new to add especially as most people who read this will have already been on a holiday with Compass and no doubt it has proved "a trip of a lifetime"
I used that phrase deliberately as it was the parting comment from Shweta after she wished us a good holiday a couple of years back when we departed for 3 weeks in India including Rajasthan, Delhi, Mumbai and Kerala.
Though we had travelled to India many times before, this really was an amazing journey and the planning for it was red hot. Shweta organised everything, all the drivers, all the cars, the trains, the hotels just everything. And it went totally to plan. Which in India, as you know, is a miracle.
A combination of our joint experiences of India added up to a wonderful memorable journey.
I will try to go into it in more detail later but suffice it to say that we stayed in some superb heritage hotels and met soem marvellous people and had some experiences that will never be forgotten.
When we return for our next holiday in North India this time we shall look no further than Compass UK as it will be then.
We are looking to the tea plantations, to the foothills of the Himalayas and some of those amazing little train jouneys such as Simla and Darjeeling.
Bring it on.
Thank you Tony For your wonderful comment. We're glad you liked the arrangements and had a great tour. Looking forward to organise another incredible trip for you!
